The first phase of East Wick + Sweetwater brings 302 homes built alongside commercial spaces and new open space, and is part of a wider vision being brought to life by a team of architects including: Studio Egret West, A-Studio and Piercy & company, and landscape architects Fabrik London.

All the buildings in Phase 1 take their inspiration from the rich and diverse local area that surrounds East Wick + Sweetwater. With intricate brick patterns and detailing to metal frames, angular shapes and various tonalities, no building is the same, creating a unique character for the neighbourhood.

This design principle feeds into the homes, each with individual balcony or terrace, subtle hints to the local area’s rich industrial heritage, high quality finishes and carefully designed to a high sustainability standard.

What do the locals have to say?

Laura, Stratford

“I’ve been living in Stratford for 5 years with my friend who just bought a place on the High Street, right on the edge of the park. I love my gym, I can go running around the park, we take the dogs for a walk up the canal, there’s those scooters! There’s also so much more happening in the park, like festivals.”

Anne-Fay, Newham

“Our immediate area has undergone massive change in the last decade but still enjoys a lot of benefits of being essentially suburban it’s pretty safe and full of families as well as people who have lived here for decades. We’ve had children since moving to Newham that has been a huge factor in staying here. The redevelopment of the Olympic Park is ongoing and continues to make a positive difference to the area, plus is a great environment for kids. Also Westfield was a pretty crucial factor as it’s a fantastic amenity for the area and it was the step change that this area needed.”
