Meet the neighbours: Here East
Established in the former Olympic Press and Broadcast Centres, Here East is a unique and buzzing campus, proudly home to over 4,500 people working and studying there.
Large businesses and educational institutions such as BT Spots, Loughbourough University, UCL and Staffordshire University have established themselves at this unique innovation hub, as well as creative hubs Plexal and The Trampery on the Gantry, Studio Wayne McGregor and many more.
In 2023, the new V&A collection and research centre will open at Here East, reinventing the ideas of a museum store. Part of the V&A East coming to East Bank, this state-of-the-art immersive cabinet of curiosity will be home to 250,000 objects and 917 archives, bringing all sorts of treasures out of storage for the public to explore.
But it’s not all about work, you can grab a coffee, a fresh haircut, half an hour in the gym and the best breakfast in the postcode all within a hop, skip and a jump of the office. Here East campus highlights include locally-owned eateries, a gym space, retro video-game bar and more. Canalside is the perfect spot to eat, drink and play from sunrise until after hours, a local’s favourite.
